CHAFFINCH

The eagle-eyed among you, that have viewed my stuff before, might have noticed that where it usually states 'Fujifilm Finepix S602Zoom' it has now changed. I have finally got fed up with not having enough wideangle, or enough telephoto, or having to wait while the camera saves data to the card, or having to pan with fast moving objects, when the viewfinder only shows the last image taken in the burst. I have succumbed to temptation and bought some new kit, so far just the body kit (with the 18-55mm) and a 100-400mm L IS USM lens. I haven't had time yet to read the manual properly, so I don't know which buttons operate which bells and whistles, but I couldn't resist trying it out on some local birdlife.

I don't expect it will make me a better photographer, but I DO expect to be able to take shots which were beyond the capabilities of the Fuji. Oh well, better read the manual and figure out how to set this thing up properly :-)

All comments are welcome as always.

You're off to a great start with it - this one is lovely, and sooo sharp!

Now I want one too.

Well that's a corker to start off with. I have a 20D and 100-400L and it's a great combination, I know you're going to have fun with it!!

I have a 10D and the 100-400 L IS USM lens and take primarily wildlife and nature shots. I think you're going to love your new equipment.
