COPPER CHOPPER

RAF WOODVALE

This is the local lawmen's whirlybird, parked behind the ops room (hence all the fancy aerials on the roof). It operates from a hangar on the local RAF base at Woodvale, on the southern edge of Southport. This bird is a regular sight in the local area, flying low and looking for bad guys.

Nice shot and aircraft but this thing is quite annoying hovering over your house at 3am in the morning looking for some nutter who has nicked a car or broken into a house. I only hope they catch the buggers and so make the annoyance worthwhile.

Awesome machine. Our county PD also has several of this model, but they're all DOWN for mechanical right now, and they are suing the manufacturer (MBB) for lack of spare parts availability. Amazing technology.
