12 May 2004

Well, it's been another dull, overcast day with boring grey skies.

I came across this scene of industrial works, seemingly rising from the yellow sea of the oilseed rape crop, and I thought it looked as if all the smoke being poured out was responsible for turning the sky grey. I also liked the clash of industry and nature, with nature seeming to be surrounding the cancer that is polluting it, trying to strangle it.

Your views and comments are always of great interest to me, so please leave a note below, good or bad they all help.

The dazzling yellow color suggests that the field is glowing with radioactivity.

What a great shot.
Never seen a field shot against "industrial background" before.
Brilliany - works well.

I like this. Contrast in the picture as well as in the setting. Nice colours, yellow, green and gray. /Best regards Mark

Very nicely done , the contrast of the rape agaist the ugly factory is a great contrast , the grey skies and the smoke reinforce that .

Its a shame we cant learn to not destroy the natural beauty around us. This shows that perfectly, nice work.

It makes a strong statement about the clash of people (& their factories) and nature. Excellent!
