Informal Portraits with the EF 75-300 IS USM

Look closely at the EXIF data and see the difference in DOF between the f 6.3 and the f 14 shot. I had to bump up the ISO to 400 to get this, but what a difference. Not only did I get more DOF, but also got closer to the sweet spot of the lens. Note also the ability to easily hand-hold all these shots at 1/125 second, even though all were at the long end of the zoom. This lens is sweet! ~~~ jim

Thinking of getting this camera and lense.Your pics are great . What would I miss if I got the75mm-300mm instead of the 28mm-135mm ? Need to take "people" ref shots ( with lots of details)indoors too.Cant get both yet Lu

Great shots Jim! I especially like the comparison between the unprocessed and processed image that you included. Very good work in PS and shows the capabilities of this camera and lens combo.
