Beginner's Deep Sky Astrophotography

OK, you suspect that Deep Sky astrophotography is horrendously complicated. It is. But you want to try your hand at something beyond the Moon. You have bought that telescope and perhaps even tried to image the planets, but now you want to shoot Deep Sky, beyond the Solar System. How do you get started? Here's how to do so with a very basic approach. Hopefully you will get enough success in your first attempts that you will get hooked into this very challenging hobby for the rest of your life. I am putting down step-by-step instructions to achieve your first success, followed by explanations why. Have fun, and get hooked!
