Early morning
The small town of Bluffville was once located at the southern tip
of The Driftless Area east of Thomson, Illinois. Originally created
as a stage coach stop between Dixon and Galena in the early 1800s, it
was abandoned after being replaced by the towns of Thomson and Ebner
along the railroad near the Mississippi River in the 1860s. It is now
home to a large beef farm as well as French Bluffs Natural Wildlife Area.
