Manzanar

This "War Relocation Center" was the wartime home for over 10,000 Americans, imprisoned here during World War II merely because of their Japanese ancestry. It's a sad, embarrassing episode from U.S. history. Manzanar is remote. It's on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada range, over 200 miles from any sizable city.

I read about this place anumber of times in th last 65 years. i even met someone who was interned there but this time is the first time i ever saw images of the desolate place the were placed..

Nicely done Bob. I went to Tule Lake in Oregon a few years ago. That was the largest camp and as such I would have expected more "to see". This all there was:http://www.pbase.com/daves88/image/84048311 Glad to see Manzanar pays some respect. Regards, David
