This view is eastward from the Cherohala Skyway, which runs from Tellico Plains TN to near Robbinsville NC. To take this shot, I parked the car, walked about a hundred yards back and climbed across a barrier rail so that I could perch on the edge of a slope to take the pictures in this image. Peaks in the distance on the left are in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In the center of the image, through the slot between the near mountains, is the Snowbird area. To the right are the Snowbird, Valley River, Tusquiteee, and Nantahala ranges. Best viewed in "original".
