Huckleberry Bald was a great place to spend the night. My bivy sack is basically a sleeping bag cover with head protection, but on this night I could just look up at the stars. And the silence! Not a sound. No insects, no animals, no birds, no traffic. Just an occasional jet airplane, and the sound of the breeze.
