Smith River

Montana

Most of the trip is not difficult, but occasionally the river flows straight into a cliff and makes an abrupt 90-degree turn. That means lots of eddies and turbulence. Occasionally there is some water that is a strong class 2. With canoes loaded with camping gear and five days of supplies, you don't have to be an expert, but decent canoeing skill is important.

Wonderful scene with the river, and the rock walls and canoes. :) This makes me miss summer already.
