View from Clingman's Dome

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Clingman's Dome is the highest point in the park and, after Mt. Mitchell, the second highest peak in the eastern U.S. The weather is lousy much of the time, but the views of clouds and geography can be magnificent. This view is to the south across Fontana Lake. Viewed in 'original' size you can see the light reflected from houseboats on the edge of the lake.
