We made a 16 day trip to France and Austria from mid-June to early July 2005.
We had rented nice cottages in Lumigny (some 50 km SE from Paris) and Alberschwende (at the western end of Austria, in province Vorarlberg).
Besides enjoying those petite villages, we visited
- Paris, naturally
- Disneyland, the original motivation for the trip (this was promised to the kids a couple of years earlier)
- the champaign city of Reims
- castle Neuschwanstein in Füssen, Germany
- Bregenz, an Austrian city by Bodensee (Lake Constance)
- Zürich
- Rheinfall, the biggest waterfall in Europe (in Schaffhausen, at the western end of Bodensee)
- Flumserberg, a mountain in 'Ferieregion Heidiland' in Switzerland with very beautiful scenery to the surrounding vallies
