We stayed in Alberschende, a small village in about 900 m height.
Our cottage was a bit outside of the village in a very quiet place. It was an old house so it was very convenient to live.
We also drove the alpine roads to Füssen to see a "princess castle", Schloss Neuschwanstein, which was built by King Ludwig II in the late 1800's as his summer cottage. The construction work was interrupted by king's death so the castle hasn't reached the proportions it was intended. And even now it's magnificent.
