Skagit Yarders Picture Gallery

This gallery is meant to be a 'History in Pictures' of Skagit machinery used in timber and logging.

Opened in 1901 as Sedro-Woolley Iron Works, this company became a mainstay and by 1913 it was one of only 5 steel plants on the West Coast.

Skagit manufactured machinery for the logging and railroad industries in Sedro-Wooley, Washington beginning in 1901. I have seen advertisements
going clear back into the 1920's, and the last Skagit yarders rolled out the Sedro-Wooley shop's doors around 1984 due to poor economic conditions.

Hi there,this 737 Skagit has the HD100 tower my brother and I Brought this yarder off B&M Logging in Washington,Matt is currently setting chokers for this yarder and running the Mark V Bowman Sky Car. Cheers Andy Gale
