The Countryside

Union City, TN

Above all my other impressions of the “South” has been the lovely countryside. The bucolic nature of the lush farms along with the beautiful blossoms (see yesterday) will long stay with me.

We crossed the Ohio River today at Paducah and have driven North toward Springfield. A major line of thunderstorms swept over us making driving on the freeway quite an adventure for about an hour. I saw more rain in that time than San Diego gets in a full year!

We have arrived safely in Mt. Vernon, IL for the night and will press on to the State Capitol on Wednesday.

Interesting patterns in the landscape. Beautiful scene and picture. Good handling of the technical aspects.

that gridwork outside must be the reason things are slow sometimes especially on Sun afternoons . . . .only so many files can putter along that framework at a time

I think that any day a person can use the word "bucolic" is a good day. And any day we pbasers can be treated to a little Rsquared photo manipulation is a good day as well.

cheers my friend
