Missouri River

St. Louis, MO

The three of us joined up in Dallas. Judy and Dave nearly didn't make the first leg from Colorado Springs after being grounded by fog. Although I have flown millions of miles as a consultant, I am finding air travel less appealing these days. The airlines have yanked all the amenities, security is a pain, and the seats are too close together.

Anyway we crossed the mighty Missouri as we dipped down on final into St. Louis. The weather is beautiful here...balmy, cool, and redolent with the aromas of flowering fruit trees.

Tomorrow we head South to the "boot" to begin are explorations.

Funny how seats seem to get smaller as one gets older. :)

Ditto on the flying. On our last business trip to Tennessee I drove a van (11 hours) The rest of the gang flew from South Bend, Indiana, changed planes in Cinci, flew to Chatanooga, then rented a car for the drive to the plant and it took them just over 8 hours. My extra 3 hours was comfortable, I stopped for a nice lunch and I never had to take off my shoes!

Just got off a plane myself. Couldn't agree more. Ugh!

Nice shot.

At least when you flew into Dallas the rain had stopped. Have fun on your roots exploration!

Excellent aerial shot Robin. I'm with you--flying is more and more a pain. I hate it more and more...
