Dec, 3 Downtown San Diego

This is downtown San Diego taken from Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma. Yesterday was an unusually clear day (even for Southern California). The big "open" space in the foreground is the storied North Island Naval Air Station.

If you look carefully at the arm of the Bay before downtown, you can see a cruise ship (on the far left) and the carrier USS Midway.

I spent a week in SD (yes! A whole week!!) some thirty-six years ago . . . . I d on't recognize the place. There may have been a few changes since then =)
