Where is that SWAT Team?

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Pepe who is great at macro shots is going to give me lessons one of these days. This is my first ever effort using the 100mm Macro lens. I know it is not that hot, but at least I learned something. (That is the whole idea isn’t it?)

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
1/200s f/4.0 at 100.0mm iso800 full exif

Not bad at all Robin.
Nice of him to pose before you gave him a swat!

That is mighty close in work. Well done.

Why so much noise? Even at ISO 800 the 5D is usually better than that? What gives?

Hey, it's a great start. Keep working at it!

You mean you CAN teach an old dog a new trick?! LOL I know you'll have a blast practicing and in some way, work in a SP or two. ;-)

Great start.

You are learning the same thing I learned with my Sig 105. DOF is extremely shallow unless you stop way down. Then with an aperature nothing but an amoeba could squeeze through, you have to stay open way too long to hand hold. Better drag out that tripod, buddy.

Wow! That's close!

We're learning (hopefully) every day. :-)
