I drove to San Francisco to be one of about 30 people who surprised Jack Loftis on his 60th birthday. His wife, Viebke, had him completely faked out which is difficult to do. Jack was totally surprised.

We drank toasts to him, told stories, and had a good time.

He will be flying me around the Northwest in a Cessna 182 for about a week in the later part of September. I ‘ll be doing the photography!
