Breakfast Alfresco

Rancho Bernardo, CA

For years I though Al Fresco played 3rd base for the Mets, but I recently discovered I could have breakfast with [sic] him. This is really a brunch. Also note the gorgeous iceplant flowers further out back.

Only thing missing, as far as I can tell, is someone to do the serving and cleaning up afterwards. But it looks like you had the best idea on how to start the day!

I love Al. My favorite dining except in rain, snow or 104F/40C. ;-) Fun shot.

Nice fun shot Robin. That's my kind of coffee carafe. Regular dark roast?

And I am sorry to hear that Al is sic

By the way, lest you think I am a total noodlehead, I DO know that "Al Fresco" means "outdoors" I just always thought it sounded like nudity.

You know, the mets have had so many third basemen that I am sure someone named Al did play for them at some point. Eating breakfast naked on your Lanai must be a wonderful thing. I guess you took your clothes off AFTER this tryptich was shot.

By the way that middle photo of you is one of your best SPs ever. You look positively adorable. It looks like you can't wait to turn the camera off and get Al Fresco.

I thought he was also a team mate of former Mets' Ron Darling? I lived in Queens, New York for 15 years and never knew.

I had to look it up.
As it turns out, I had a lot of meals with Mr. Al Fresco in the past four months.
Say, I hope that BIG pot was not filled with caffine.

I thought it meant without shoes. You'll be alert all day with all that coffee.
