January 18: “Old” San Diego

San Diego, CA

At the urging from several of you to get out of the house more often, this morning I drove downtown for breakfast with a woman I had not seen in 26 years! We had a great “catch up” at Hob Nob Hill.

Also***Don Nieman*** from time to time posts interesting shots of old buildings in Buffalo, NY. We have very few vintage buildings here in San Diego; however this home caught my eye today. More often we have new construction of condos and apartments. This construction just across the street. See below:

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/320s f/13.0 at 33.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

This old house is superb - such style and full of different designs and textures.

Well spotted. Let's see more of 'old' San Diego, but maybe I'll pass on the Condos!

The first is certainly more pleasing to the eye than the second bunker with windows !

I'm down in Atlanta for a few days where old buildings are
everywhere (except where I am!).
You need to get over to Sherman Heights and some of the
older neighborhoods Robin. There's even a few "haunted"
houses over there. :^O
Should we do a trip there?
Herb 18-Jan-2006 19:51
Very nice, you were out and about early

Oh how I would love to just sit on that porch for a day and let life pass me by. Great shot Robin.
