The Laughing

Seaport Village, San Diego, CA

Today I joined Pepe, Herb, and Gary for a photo shoot at Seaport Village and the USS Midway museum. We had a great deal of fun, talked a lot about photography and lenses, and generally ragged on each other.

This was my first opportunity to give the Canon 5D a full workout. I’m pleased with its performance, image size, and fast focusing. All my shots were with the 17 – 40 L lens which made the wide angle work in the tight confines of the Carrier quite easy.

@Snootydog.... Pepe uses Lower Pro cases and I believe had 3 other lenses. Herb was packing a 1 7-40L which loaned to Gary part of the time. Gary just has his one 18-55 Kit lens. All I had was my 17-40 on the camera and lens cleaner in my pocket.

This is a great candid but not candid shot. Looks like fun was being had by all. Nice clarity and very natural colors.

Its three of the four amigos! Great personality here. I like pepe's shoes. I also like to see what camera bag everyone is using so next time maybe you could get everyone to hold up their bags?

I'm glad you all had a great time. I like the double of Pepe you did, especially nice in b&w. I bet the full frame sensor really help out in tight quarters, that's a good lens to use for that. You did well
