September 8: Shelter Island

Shelter Island, San Diego, CA


I’m just getting in under the wire tonight on my PaD post. Millie’s Mom and I went to an outdoor concert by ***Johnny Mathis*** at Humphrey’s on Shelter Island tonight.

We were the guests of a couple who have their sailboat moored 50 yards from the venue. I grabbed this hand held shot as we walked in.

Thats the first post I've seen from Coleen since the storm. Anyway...this gets me vote, Buddy. I love the composition. Really busy this week and next will be worse. We start moving Sunday.

This is Coleen and I am writing this from Baton Rouge where I came to use the internet. House in Metairie had a foot of water as did my daughter and son's houses. We are all safe and dry at Perilloux Place in Montz. Had no electricity in Montz for a week but have it now, but now phone service as a tree fell on the line. We rode out the hurricane in Montz at Perilloux Place at 115 mph winds---very scary and I got under my bed at one point. Hope to get back to PBase eventually. Regards to all my Pbase friends. Johnny Mathis, I really like his music, Arthur Godfrey introduced him I believe. How old is he now?
