Solana Beach, CA

I drove to the coast to meet my colleague/protégé Kathy Rippy for dinner last evening, picking her up at the Solana Beach Amtrak Station. (Yes people do commute by train in San Diego.)

This building certainly is a far cry from the typical San Diego Mission architecture.

I was here a few months ago, took Amtrak down and met some old college buddies. We went and saw our Cal Golden Bears get demolished in the Holiday Bowl. From the thumbnail though, I thought this was a prison photo!
