January 19: Jack and Lynn Visit

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Lynn (a.k.a. Sami’s Mom) and Jack dropped by for a visit today. I’m still thinking about getting a dog, so it was great to have them visit. We had a really excellent talk about life (that is Lynn and I.) Jack was a great listener...didn't say much.

Awww, what a cutie, and yes, they really are great listeners, now get out there and get a dog, you won't regret it, honest.

Superb, Robin. Stop thinking about it and just do it!

I like the angle of this shot.
Dogs are great to have around.
I agree with both the Golden Retriever and the JRTs.
My parents had several Goldens when we were growing up. They love the water and are very affectionate. They love to lean on you.
Our JRT's are tons of fun. They think they are big dogs. They love to play with my mom's Golden Retriever.

Dogs always make good subject to photograph too.

Great shot!

I figure you would like a cute little dog, that you walk on the beach that attracts women in droves.

Robin, I love the POV of this image. Really different and arresting. As for what kind of dog? I see you with a beagle, perhaps. I wouldn't recommend a terrier -- you know what they say -- terriers are terrors. Of course, a lab or other retreiver would be a wonderful pet, but somehow, I see you with something a bit smaller.

Robin you have to get a dog!!! they are great to have around, at my house we already have three, and there could be another one coming, we just love DOGS!

LOL, not saying too much is one of the more attractive traits in a dog...

I dunno about a dog Robin... I'm kinda in the same frame of mind as you, but I'm always picking up and going somewhere, and the thought of being tied down again is making me think twice. How about going to the local shelter and inquiring about some 'temporary' placements for hard to place dogs?

Nice close-up! Like the perspective!

All dogs need too much attention ... they deserve it ... they better than all creation can give unconditional love ... Neat shot.

Cool perspective!

You should get a golden retriever. Since you are always near the water, that's a good dog and it'll love you forever.

LOL @Bandito. Bring it on folks. What kind should I get?

I like this dog.

If you're thinking about getting a dog, and since dogs adapt the personalities of their masters (or masters choose dogs based on like personalities), I think we should all play "What kind of dog will Robin get?"

I'll go first - Jack Russell Terrier. Needs lots of attention, but very bright. Knows how to do Curves and Levels in Photoshop on 3 legs.

Interesting perspective you've captured here, and probably says lot about how our canine friends see US! :)
