As they say (check Gary Blanchette’s post today) sometimes the best planned shots go awry. In my case I have known for days that I wanted to catch the X on the street in front of my home for today’s alphabet image. However, the rains intervened this morning and I didn’t dare walk outside with my camera in all that moisture.

Solution:
Get in the car. Back out to the street. Make a U turn toward the house. Take the picture though front windshield. Don’t be afraid to include the windshield wipers to add drama.
