November 19: SP Friday: Washing My Hands of the Whole Idea

My Guest Bathroom

Today is the usual de rigueur routine of creating a self portrait. I thought I’d pick an unusual location like the (ahem) bathroom. But after several attempts, I decided to wash my hands of the whole idea.

(Note the 800 ISO!) BTW, except for the type on the mirror there is no Photoshop legerdemain here. Well, I did clone out a dirty spot on the far wall. (I think it was blood spatter ;-) A tweak of the color, levels, and the usual light touch of the unsharp filter – that’s it for PS.

Very nice of you to doll yourself up for us. You clean up nice.
Pepe Zyman20-Nov-2004 17:39
Did you order a DNA test?
Robin Reid20-Nov-2004 05:56
It turns out that the alleged blood spatter was DIRT on the mirror that reflected on the wall as red. No harm and no foul. LOL re people's reactions.

Clever! setup. Like how we see your face, and back of your head in 2x.
Now, are you gonna spill the blood story??
snootydog20-Nov-2004 04:22
I'm a little freaked out on two accounts here Batman... First of all, your bathroom looks identical to one here in my house. But, um, a blood spatter on the wall? Is there ah something we should know?
Guest 20-Nov-2004 03:55
You have really got it in this one! Excellent!
Guest 20-Nov-2004 03:01
LOL Bloodstains... I don't want to know!

That's amazingly noise free for ISO 800! Great camera! And a nice, out-of-the-ordinary s/p! Great job, Robin!
Gary Winters20-Nov-2004 01:37
It's better to have blood on the wall then blood on your hands. Good idea for a SP, Robin. Nicely done.
Pepe Zyman20-Nov-2004 00:36
I'm glad you cleaned before the police got there :^)
(Now you are on the record)

Blood on the wall!!!??? You need to slow down when you use that straight razor, Buddy. Good SP. I ain't decided yet how I will do mine this week. Have a good weekend.
