October 16: Hats Off to Liza

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Liza a.k.a *SNOOTYYDOG* has been a terrific help to me this weekend.
She taught me how to do mass uploads of images using a Photoshop action she created AND clued me into a neat piece of software, Proshow Gold, that easily creates wonderful slide shows with lots of different transitions and lets one add music of choice.
The Kleenex you see on the left of her picture was used by yours truly as I sobbed with joy over how great the shows turned out with a little bit of Vangelis and Paul Simon added.
Now I can do a production run and get those Wedding and Oregon/California Trip CD’s off to my family.

Thank you Liza so much for your kind and prompt help!

so you are among the multi-monitored crowd, eh .. .I have one BIG hulking mass sitting ona small cart . . .if I bump it too hard the whole cart will fall over . .LOL! . . I will keep the 'action' in mind . . so I know who to contact when I find myself stumped =]

Hey... I have the same wrist rest.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... I nearly fell off my chair when I opened this one up! You are too much Robin. I am so glad you didn't tip your hand and direct me over to this pad of your... It was such a delight to have it as a complete surprise.

So glad I could offer you something useful. You'll be an addict in no time for sure.

As for the messy desk that everyone has commented on... Mine is just as messy if not messier. Don't clean it... it will only get messy again.

thanks for the good chuckle Robin -- you made my day.

Hey, Robin! You've been busy lately, and so glad you've gotten some additional tools under your belt. I'm not that sure how the whole PS actions works - just haven't had time to dive into it, which is ironic since it is such a time saving device. Again, I am delighted to see what a tremendous resource the PaD community can be! Liza is a fountain of technical skill, and a gem of a person as well. So glad she could help you out!

I like the double monitors there. That should make work a bit easier also.

Congrats on discovering the joys of slide show software! I've been making them for several years of friends weddings, and they are a huge hit every time. The Mac's have this stuff built in allowing me to tap into my iTunes collection for music.

When you get finished making those cds, clean off your desk. LOL
How ya doing, old man?
