It probabely never rains in suthern California but past years have shown that it sometimes burns there.

I don't know if it's the camera equipment or not, but it seems the guy behind the lens had a pretty good eye today ;o). Nice, Robin.

Nice texture, I give the roof a couple of more years. Or until the next fire.

I love the textures here, Robin!

Great textures and shapes!!!

Brings out the texture in the subject. Might be fun, Robin, to select one of the pieces and paint it a color just to see how it turns out.

Cool pattern. I like the compressed effect with the 200mm.

Hey Robin - zooming in, going abstract - cool stuff!

I don't think I've ever seen a shake roof in person! Looks like it would add a lot of character to a house. Nice lines and texture.

Lovely pattern shot, full of character.

Prefer slate roofs myself... but this has great character and texture

Try getting that effect from aluminium cladding !! Timber & rust imho is the best to photograph...oh & roses of course :>)

Love the wood texture/grain here. Really kewl sight to see. :)

What a great shot. I like not only the texture of the roof itself, but of the individual shakes within it.

Take it from the top one more time Cindy..."It never rains in Southern California...
Cindy26-Aug-2004 20:42
Very well done Robin, makes one wonder just how this roof protects from the rain, lookie all them gaps!! :-)

Not much on this shot, Robin, but a hell of a lot to see. Nice shot and very nice details of an old style roof.
