Nicely done, Robin. That's a great shot without a telescope!

Nice one. I see the weird shadow line too. Actually looks like this? You don't mention using PS to dim the shadow side. Great details though.

Excellent moon shot, did you cut the moon out though it has a funny edge to it?
Guest 27-Jul-2004 06:36
Lots of details in yours, great job !

Wow, this is stunning!!!

Wow.... the detail is amazing!.... Very nice! did you crop the dark side? it looks really weird! I would have expected smooth fade to black!

On first glance this is awesome Robin. On Second glance it is still pretty amazing on the bright side but what the heck is going on with that dark side. It looks like critters ate your moon. Let's see the original so we can try and figure out what sort of creature it was that chewed up your dark side. But boy oh boy that light side really is spectacular.

Craters are terrific, contrasty and clear. And the 'seas' are mysterious. But I wonder about the dark side, why is it not straighter? Weird clouds?
Stu26-Jul-2004 23:35
That's one raggedy old shadow there! The bright side, on the other hand, is awesome.

Wow, your big bertha, and the extender, kicked some serious moon (ass)! Are you sure you didn't use the hubble for this?? Great detail, perfect exposure.

This is a great moonshot, could not see the moon at my place thanks to the coastal eddy.
