June 12: Fairest of the Fair

Del Mar Fairgrounds

I spent all Friday morning enjoying the many photo opportunities at the annual San Diego County Fair held in Del Mar, CA.

Here is the "Fairest of the Fair," Troy Lemperle 23, who is a San Diego State University student and was Miss La Mesa of 2003.

She and Mrs. Audrey Geisel, widow of Theodore Geisel, [aka Dr. Seuss] and a myriad of Seuss-like characters kicked off the opening day of the Fair.

For some fun images taken at the Fair see my Del Mar Fair Gallery.

Great shot! Very pretty girl! I think I would prefer this shot with a soft focus though.

Sounds like a fun event! This portrait very much captures the spirit of Dr. Seuss. Nice!
