June 1: Museum of Man

Balboa Park

Monday’s PaD for some was “Your City’s Landmark Day”. I’m a day late; however, here is one of San Diego’s most famous sites framed in front by the Alcazar Gardens so named because its design is patterned after the gardens of Alcazar Castle in Seville, Spain.

Balboa Park is an extremely popular destination for locals and tourists alike. It has the world famous San Diego Zoo, great gardens, excellent museums, the renowned Old Globe Theatre, and many other attractions.

What a beautiful place. I love the boxwood (? or privet) hedges. San Diego is on the short list to visit.

You cut this a bit fine! From the thumb, I thought it was Seville's Alcazar, where I have been several times (need to put the photos up). This is another very nice photo, Robin.
