Hanging-On - Letting-Go!

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Sin #1 Avarice/Greed

I’ve been ‘doing’ computers since 1982 (started with the Osborne 1 (see - http://oldcomputers.net/osborne.html ). And as the years go by, the cords, outdated peripherals, and other redundant paraphernalia have piled up in my closet. Today I cleaned house, and this is me having trouble letting go!
But that is not all of it! I haven't decided what to do with the old Dell, the old Vaio, the old Compaq PDA, the old Motorola cell phone, the old Canon EOS Elan, the old Minolta Veritas 40...etc. etc.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

now no robin, i think you should pick up Flight Simulator 2004 for that Joystick, and a home network for that router! and another computer for that keyboard!!!

All that, and you manage a great self-portrait. Good going, Robin.

I see the way you're clutching that box, Robin! You REALLY don't want to get rid of it, do you? ;) But, then you did need to make room for that new laptop, next to your multiple monitors. :) You know what the ladies say about the difference between men and boys? Just the cost of their toys! I almost have to agree with that one! LOL

Robin, you can stop by my place and do the same thing. I think I got rid of my home designed PC, took too much space.

Hmmm... maybe you could come and clean out my closets!

If some of them work, there are some group homes and charities that take them as donations. Better than filling the landfills up! You look a bit sad letting these go!! LOL!!

I had an Altair ... The one that used punch tapes and had 4k of memory ... yes 4000 bytes ... Love the picture,

Robin... I have the same problem... My wife keeps asking me when I am going to start getting rid of the stuff!

I'm planning on giving to charity. They can resell on eBay.

Good luck.

Great picture and facinating links to the Osborne computer etc.
Thank you!
