The Cross

La Jolla, CA

The Cross atop Mount Soledad in La Jolla. I named it “Hope” because this holiday week is a time of renewal and hope. I am heartsick about all the conflict, suffering, and dying in the world. I pray for Peace.

My "teacher" from Arizona highways last February said good pictures are only a matter of inches. I actually walked around this cross taking shots from every angle befoe I saw the sunlight coming through. Then it was just a matter of stepping back a few inches, and there it was shining through.
