I know I have never posted this view before in my six years on pBase. It is taken from the sun deck at the Hotel Del looking west. In 1542 Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo came ashore as the first person to land in what is now the United States. There is a monument and museum on top of the Pt. Loma discussing his voyage of discovery. The Pt. Loma lighthouse is also a popular part of the National Park.
