Being a avocado rancher is not easy. Here Don is standing atop a recently drilled well designed to mitigate the astronomical water bills from the county. The home is mostly complete, except for interior finish work being done by Don (woodworking) and Lynn (décor , painting etc.)

Below a shot of the two of them in their garage which has become Don’s workshop.

I particularly like this photo because of the juxtaposition of the Gentleman in the front to balance the house and add depth and interest. If you would have focused on him the house would have been in focus as well at f14. You could have used f22 at a slower shutter speed.

looks like fun...........avocados grow in grassy spaces in NZ, this looks like pioneering stuff indeed. good pic Robin. must be nice living in a winterless state
