The fog often sits over Lake Hodges early in the morning making an attractive scene, but there is no place to pull over to grab a shot. Using the time-honored professional technique of pointing the camera out the windshield with one hand while driving with the other, I was able to snag this.
The highest mountain background right is Mount Palomar perhaps best known for being the home for the 200 inch Hale telescope at the Palomar observatory.
