Lunate Zale Moth (Zale lunata)
Found in SW New Hampshire. It had choosen this pink plastic marking tape hanging on a sapling Oak tree instead
of a leaf. Took tape inside to an enclosure for observation, but did not witness emergence. Images of last
instar along with empty pupa after the event. Released to nature. Images of the adult stage and how
markings blend in with its selected resting area. (Note: Chain Ring inner diameter aproximately 3 inches.)
