Bob Robinson exhibit at Herdla Museum

At Herdla Museum a new exhibit is shown now.It is pictures taken by the american photographer
Robert A. Robinson, one of my all time favourite photographers. He lived in Norway during the 1950`s and -60`s and was one of the driving
forces behind the photographic revival in the same period. Together with Dan Young and Arild
Christo he founded the picture agency Manitè that had great success in the -60`s. He moved back
to USA later and left photography and started a new career as a painter there.
During his time in Norway he photographed everyday life and everyday people, and was very fond
of the coastal parts of Norway. He also published a few books during his stay, the book "Captured
by the norwegians " contains his most known work. This exhibit contains only pictures
that were taken in the county Sogn og Fjordane in the west of Norway.
The show is a must-see for anyone with a passion for photography.:-)
