| Our first day out. It has been ten months since we last cruised aboard Shibumi. It will take us a few days to get our sea-legs back. The day started out very gray and damp. Eventually the sun came out and gave Jill a chance to soak up some vitamin D after we anchored in Rockhouse Creek, just north of New Symrna Beach. |
![]() | Earlier in the day, Jill stowed the dock-lines as we navigated out of our canal. We hope we do not have to use dock-lines very often on this trip. We intend to anchor Shibumi in secluded coves, creeks, and harbors each evening; and use our dinghy to go ashore. We much prefer the view and the breeze while swinging free at anchor as opposed to being tied to a dock with buildings and other boats blocking our view. |
| My parents came to wave at us as we sailed down the river in their town on our way south. | ![]() |
