As we close out the old year, we gather provisions for the first months of the new.
Shibumi can store more than six months worth of consumerables for two.
We could go offshore for that long with our only external requirements being fuel, water and trash disposal.
But for now we do not plan an extended offshore voyage.
We will stock the boat for two months and decide then whether to head for home or reprovision and travel on.

This is a time we all make resolutions for the new year.
Our only resolve is to track the brightest star in the southern sky.
Beyond that we only wish to be good to the earth, the sea and the people we meet.
