This is the extent of our indoor garden.
It is basil.
Two or three times a week we pluck a few leaves, and put them in meals.
We use the fresh leaves in salads to add a flavorful zing to otherwise bland vegetables.
However, we have put basil leaves in cooked dishes as well. Soups, stews, pasta, rice, poultry,
and fish all blend nicely with aromatic basil.
And, I am surprised how quickly the leaves grow-in to replace the ones we harvest.
