We had a very active day today... we started out the day by retying Shibumi's lines (ropes) to the mooring ball. The wind blew much harder last night than I had anticipated, so I got concerned about the possibility of the lines starting to chaff (sawing through each other) where they connected to the mooring. So I did an additional wrap of each line around the eye to the pennent... I know, I know... that does not mean much to many of you reading this; but it means I will sleep better when the wind blows strong out of the southeast tonight.

After reworking the lines, we had breakfast at the Bahia Cabana with Dennis and Barbara from the sailing vessel "Noble River".
Following breakfast we took a long walk to visit an area we had docked at back in 2004. Any of you who followed our website back then remember the great time and wonderful people we met along the Isle of Venice.

Our old friends were gone and the place had changed quite a bit but just visiting there brought back great memories.

Beautiful setting and hope that the mooring lines hold up well! Don't want the wind to flip you over!

Nice shots dave. Glad you were prudent and did the extra work to not have issues with the lines later on. Enjoy the weekend... oh what am I talking about, your on vacation, so every day is a weekend. :) Jv
