Just remember the last house number. It was 1213 Smoketree.

That's where I grew up. It was a great town and such an active and engaging community. We lived there between 1965 and 1975..... at 41 Ironwood, 15 Bald Eagle, 512 Lupine, 618 Ocotillo, and 2xxx Smoketree.

We lived on #4 Bald Eagle and then moved to 901 Verbena.. I can only remember good times living in this town. Wish it was still there..

Seems like a place with a lot of history. My Grandfather worked there, retired and passed away in '82. I'd appreciate any stories from anyone who may have know him.

I lived on Bald Eagle. Since I was so young back then, Eagle Mountain seemed big!

Andrea Browall (now Andrea Martin): Oasis Avenue, the house next to the house on the corner on Elm, on the right when viewing this map. Google Earth shows that the house has been removed and only the foundation remains. The concrete block L-shaped patio screen seemed to have been removed as well. I remember it brand new, with deep turquoise shag carpet, thick green grass, periwinkles and petunias we planted, a oleander bush on the side nearest Elm Street, and the back yard lined with short small cacti before the drop off between our house and the houses backing up from Willow. I specifically remember standing out in our front yard seeing a canteloupe colored sunset looking West with the low purple mountains to the west and north and knowing that God made me for a purpose just as he made nature. I also remember a tremendous sand storm arriving on a clear blue day rolling in high above the mountains to the west, with round, soft curling tan colored edges sharply contrasting with the bright blue sky. My mother kept telling me to come in, but I was amazed and didn't want to miss it. By the time I finally went inside, my long thick hair was full of sand. I soaked it in the tub, leaving a layer of sand on the bottom of the tub. I also remember it snowing one morning and us making snowballs. That afternoon I was in my little girl bikini stomping in the gutters as they flowed with melting snow as the clear sky heated everything up.

The Rohauer Family lived in the trailer park area on Court Street, directly down from the shopping center and post office. Some of the friends we had in the area were the Hibetts Family, the Zimmermans, the Zinzers, and the St. Cins.
I remember riding our bikes to school and proving how cool we were as kids by finally being able to ride our bikes down the big dirt hill on Highland and making it up on the other side without stopping or falling off. It seemed like such a big deal back then.
I played baseball for 2 years on the little league and was on the Jets probably in 80 and 81. Funny how much you can remember from almost 30 years ago if you really try.

The Pickerings (Jim, Pat, Chris, Laura and Jamie) lived at the corner of Palo Verde and main (or Kaiser Road). We used to sit in the front yard to watch the Home Coming Parade. We moved to 720 Oleander in the mid to late 70's until August of 1982. We moved to Colorado then. I still miss EM and all the memories and friends.
