My name is John McGregor, and I did not work for Lucky or Gemco. However, I have been checking out your Gemco site and I really enjoy what you've got. I was only 10 years old in 1986, so my memories of the place aren't that strong - but my family did a lot of shopping at the Cerritos store. I uncovered some baby pictures of me that were apparently processed at Gemco... so I decided I'd send you a photo of the cover from 1977!

I do recall spending time in the grocery area and where the music was kept... but its been a long time. If I cracked open the old stuff I might even find some old tags... I remember going to that store being a fun memory. I also distinctly remember shopping during the closeout sale.

The Cerritos store became a Target, which was expanded around five years ago. The main building remains but the old front is gone.
