One of Liverpool's greatest sons.
Born Ronald Wycherley 17th April 1940 in "The Dingle" Liverpool.
After leaving school he worked on The Mersey Tugboats until being signed by the music agent Larry Parnes at the age of 18.
Sadly died aged only 42 in 1983.
This statue was made by Liverpool sculptor Tom Murphy in 2003.
