Ruthin

From Castle Street looking towards St Peter's Square and St Peter's Church, founded 1284.
The last public execution was held in this square in 1679 of a Catholic priest who was hanged drawn and quartered.
Ruthin has many fine old buildings in spite of being ransacked and burnt in 1400 by the army of Owain Glyndwr.

...and there was me thinking it was a team of Scenes of Crime Officers... the rest of the town's population were obviously in the pubs...

They were a team of Morris Dancers Keith in make up and fancy dress, male and female, on a pub crawl. This was late afternoon, they had to start early as there is a lot of pubs to visit in Ruthin. john.
