i am 11 years old and some weekends i go to my nanas in skelmorlie and even if i have only been away for a couple of days i love to come back to dunoon because it is so welcoming !!do you think you could take some mre pics of toward and innellen ?? love this site c ya !!!

Lived in Dunoon from baby to 17 year old, before moving on to explore my profession. Some people in Dunoon knock it a bit; but it's not till you leave it, that you really appreciate it and its beauty! Its nice still to have family and friends there after 25 years absence, although I always make it home for the "Games"!! Neil McKay ( X, Kirn Brae)

I was born in Dunoon and have family who are still there have some happy and sad memories, but you aways miss the place you were born and brought up, dont miss the Americans, have not been back for some years, would like to go back, I lived with my family in Dixon ave No68 for some years and we then left in 1961 never to return. Sad! may be I will return before its too late.

I used to go to Dunoon many years ago [when the Yanks were still around]. My wife's parents were both from Dunoon and her ancestry is in that area. Many happy memories of the place

Thanks I enjoyed a trip down memory lane... used to be involved in youth exchanges with the Dunoon Youth Centre...still miss my trips there terribly!!! Excellent Photos!

Cool Pics! I used to come to Dunoon every 6 months back when I was in the US Navy. I rode subs out of the Loch. I have always wanted to go back now that the Tender and subs are gone; I have many fine memories eating Fish and Chips at 10pm in daylight in July and going back for more Pints of "Heavy"!!
