Green Flash1

I didn't think this butterfly would shoot too well backlit--it's wings are so opaque--but look what happens when the light catches the fringes at the edges of the wings. I never saw this happen before. Hope I see it again.

Hard to tell whether this is a Red Banded Hairstreak or a Dusky Blue Groundstreak--the red band on the fore wing is thin, but the eyes on the hind wing don't have much orange, either. Who cares. Glad she, the sun, and I were in the right place at the right time.
