Menemsha, Martha's Vineyard, MA

This very large spider was on the side of our cottage one night. He would have spanned my lens cap had I had the nerve to coax him onto it for size comparison. He has lost two legs at some point but did not seem hindered by that.

If anyone can identify the species please feel free to let me know as I cannot seem to find it in my guides. Thanks!
